THE EVANGELICAL LEADER
THE EVANGELICAL LEADER!
- an excerpt from this month's bible study series by The Apostle of Zion.
Evangel means messenger; one who is sent. The same word which is used to refer to angels.
An evangelical leader is anointed to share good news because there are too many bad happenings around, such a leader therefore must announce new things. The way the Apostle Paul consistently introduced himself in his letters is very revealing, in Romans 1;1, I Cor 1:1, 2 Cor 1:1, 1 Thess 1:1, 2 Thess 1:1, and on and on.
From our previously established illustration of the five fold ministry as the fingers of a hand, the evangelical leader is the Middle Finger, very prominent and it can not be comfortably bent independently without carrying the other fingers of the same hand along. Hence all the other offices carry the trait of an evangelist, the trait of sharing good news.
Without evangelical leaders, people would live without hope and encouragement.
