Visionary Living

VISIONARY LIVING

A Leader must live a visionary life. Leadership is work (i.e. service). Vision is work related. A visionary life is noted by what you do (i.e. your work). A visionary life enables you attain 5 things:
You live an organized life.
Your life is programmed – Psalm 31:5.
You are delivered from wasting (Ephesians 5:15).

A visionary life enables you plan and work in accordance with time. Timing is important for visionary living (Habakkuk 2:2)

Vision is the answer to the issues of life. You become a problem solver.
From the above stated, what should dictate one’s life is vision. Five crucial things tied to a visionary life include:
Work: We are created to work. What makes one relevant on earth is work. Work entails energy being exerted on set tasks, for a benefit (emolument, compensation and seed). The seed in turn generates your blessings. The following should be noted about work.
God is the initiator of work, work is not evil. it appreciates creation and regulates creation from going wild.
Work reveals what we are; our capacity, capability, intelligence, dullness, integrity, etc.
Work brings compensation (seed).
Work reflects your duties, functions and activities which leads to specialization.
Work takes your physical, mental and emotional energies; Work takes most of your time.
Work reveals your location.
Your work status is determined by your educational achievement.
Your life revolves around your work and even your family adjusts to it, every other thing in life is tied to your work.
Work is purposeful, not accidental.
Mentorship/Discipleship: is a process of teaching and training. A Mentor serves as a guide, counselor and teacher to another person. A Mentor helps you to succeed. Mentoring could be on a close, distant, surface or deep level. Mentoring looks at
Personal life dealings and character formation, etc
Giving assignments and accomplishing specific tasks, etc

Work involvement.
Examples of mentoring in the scriptures can be seen in Acts 16:1; 17:14-15; 18:5; 19:22; 20:4; I Timothy1:2,18; 2nd Timothy 1:2; I Corinthians 4:17.
Seeds: These are benefits accruing from work: remuneration, emolument etc. God in creation put seed in vegetation, put seed in man, made seed the way of life over death and the governing principle of living.

Contact with the earth: How you use your seed determines how God relates to you and how people respond to you. Seeds are meant to be sown. Seed time has a certainty of a harvest time. Every seed has a potential for harvest and a person’s poverty lies in his or her inability to manage seeds. It is the blessings of God upon the seed sown that brings a maximum yield. Sow seeds. Handle money well. Learn therefore to structure your seed/finances. A guide is as follows: Tithe – 10% -12%; Your Pastor – 1% - 2%; Missions – 5%; The Poor – 1%.
Other Crucial Points that are requisite for a visionary life include God, your family and Church or your Pastor. There is need to maintain a virile relationship with these three mentioned groups.
