Your Work Defines You

 


Our work is the avenue through which we acquire resources to sustain life. If your work is not sufficient to sustain your needs then life will be very stressful.

THINGS TO NOTE ABOUT YOUR WORK
(extract from Apostle Martins Atanda):
(1).Your work defines who you are.
(2).Your work will reveal your character.
(3).Your work will reveal your depth in God.
(4).Your work will reveal your capacity.
(5).Your work will reflect your income and status.
(6).Your work will determine who surrounds you.
(7).Your work will bring you respect or disrespect.
(8).Your work will either be a joke or a legacy.
(9).Your work will register your name in glory or shame.
FATHERS IN THE BIBLE, THEIR WORK, AND GOD
(1).Abraham: God blessed his handwork,Gen.24:1.
(2).Isaac:God blessed his work irrespective of the oppositions,Gen.26:1-12.
(3).Job:God blessed his work before and after terrible afflictions, Job 1:1-3.
(4).Jabez: God blessed him by bypassing the generational curse in his lineage,1Chro4:4( refer to Gen.49:8 and Deut.33:7 the blessing of Judah which Jabaz ought to enjoy because he is of that lineage but unfortunately was not enjoying like others in the same lineage until he called on God).
The name Jabaze means sorrow. That means that sorrow called unto God and was delivered. What is your challenge over your work?

Revelation 5:10 “He has made us unto God kings…” many Christians want to create the impression and are always diverting the attention of people from prosperity and power believing it is not Godly and hereby making people believe that the key for making heaven is poverty, forgetting the fact that we are made unto God as kings because God himself that created us in his image is full of riches and prosperity in abundance. Christians are supposed to be in the public sector first, we are supposed to be in leadership and in rulership first before we start thinking of praying for people. Praying for people is secondary, people you have not guided; it will be difficult to pray for them. DISCERNMENT IN LEADERSHIP (Part 1) A Sermon excerpt by Dr Martins Atanda God was speaking to a company of angels, a company of spiritual men, a company of people made perfect, spirits that are made perfect. In Hebrews Chapter 12 the Bible says when we come to the mountain of God we have not come unto the Mountain of Sinai that is fearful to touch: you cannot approach. Mount Zion is a celebration place; Mount Sinai is a fearful place.
